On behalf of everyone on yesterday's 18.52 from Victoria, we really hope the soundcheck works out well for the PoW girls today at Mean Fiddler - the logistics sound like an absolute nightmare! We also hope you get those new harmonies right, and that the band remembers the bar's rest at the end of "Sex Party" in the gig. Good luck tonight, and sorry we can't be there ourselves. It's difficult to organise things for us - you know how it is with a trainload of people!
Finally, just a kindly word to whichever PoW's lady it was who twice regailed the entire carriage with the whole affair between Victoria and Gipsy Hill - you might want to speak a little quieter on your mobile...?!

Yes, I think that's the funniest post to appear on this forum so far! ;D I was talking to the lady in question last night and she said she didn't even remember mentioning the band name on the train! Well done for your detective work tracking down the band's forum from a conversation overheard on a train. I can assure you that the soundcheck did go well yesterday at the Mean Fiddler, and all band members managed to get to the venue in time. All the harmonies sounded great and the band put on one of their best shows. The girls joined the Quireboys on stage for the last part of their set and that went very well too - including the vocals on 'Sex Party'. A great success all round I think. ;D
